Math & ELA practiceFreckle is a math resource system that will "move" with the kids. This program caters to your child's needs. If you child needs a little extra help, it will show them videos to watch. If your child is breezing through third grade concepts, it will move them on to fourth grade concepts and so on. Also, if your child is struggling with a specific concept, it will prompt them with a video lesson on how to solve using the specific skill they are working on. I am a huge fan of Freckle, especially for math. If your child loves math (or you want them to develop a love for it) please have them practice on Freckle!

Adaptive math practicei-Ready is a set of CCSS-based diagnostic and instructional tools for both math and English. Upon starting the program, students take an adaptive placement test. i-Ready then uses this data to create individualized instructional pathways for each student.
Upon finishing the diagnostic test, students' experience is friendly and includes a simplified dashboard, where they can pick a theme and a coach and even have learning material read to them. Each lesson includes a diverse cast of animated characters that walk students through every task. Lessons start with an overview of the learning objectives, followed by a guided learning experience. Kids can review lessons at any point but won't be able to skip ahead. In math, many tasks are aimed at helping kids develop conceptual understanding across a range of topics. |
